Cheap!!

I found this little number for baby girl at Super Target for only $1.74!! I KNOW! So cute. I'm a sucker for a sale, I couldn't pass it up. I showed Easton and he said, "Oooooh, Mom! That's fancy!" Who knew you could get fancy for under 2 bucks!?!

24 Weeks Preg-tastic...Or 6 months for those of you who are not "math people." And for those of you curious this little pea in my pod still does not have an official name. I have a couple in mind but Matt is not sure if they are HER name. He told me not to rush him because, "It's gonna be her name for the rest of her life!!" Which is not entirely true...when she's a grown-up she is legally allowed to change her name. Hello? I doubt it reads, "Lady Gaga" on somebody's birth certificate. So for now I'm calling her "Octopuss." She's literally all over the place in there. One baby with only two arms and two legs cannot cover as much ground as this wee little sprout is covering!! I am pretty sure she's taken it upon herself to rearrange things as need be. Matt thinks she will be our "serious, studious" child so maybe she thinks it more efficient for my bladder and my kidneys to switch places. As long as she's happy and healthy in there, I've got no complaints (yet).

stirring inside...
when a tiny heartbeat is heard for the
very first time,
and a playful kick reminds her that she
is never alone."

21 Weeks!

So, I'm kinda a bad mom...I'm two weeks late in posting these "behind the scenes" pictures of the little miss. These weeks of pregnancy seem to FLY by soooo much faster the second time around. Now that the "morning" sickness has passed (laughable that it's coined as morning sickness. Mine was more like: 24/7, never ending, no matter what you eat, drink or smell it's gonna make you sicker than sick sickness but that's another blog entirely) I almost forget that I'm pregnant. Is that sad? I know all the mamas and daddies with more than one child can relate to what I mean...With the first pregnancy it seems that you have endless time to oooh and ahhh over this amazing thing happening to you and your husband. You almost have that feeling like you're the first and only people to ever experience the blessing of creating a new life. The second time however, the first little life you've created consumes most of the time that you would have used to "oooh and ahhh." For example: As I'm trying to write this, Easton and I are having a tea party (Yes! He likes tea parties! Boys can drink tea!) But sharing this experience with Easton and hearing the way he thinks about pregnancy, childbirth (he thinks she is going to come out my belly button...which she just may...it seems to be her favorite place to kick.) and all the things he's gonna teach her once she arrives makes me enjoy this pregnancy in ways I never even thought about before.
So, back to the ultrasound...
I was really stressing out because I had this feeling that they were gonna tell us, that she was actually a he. We did the gender ultrasound at 16 weeks (6 weeks sooner than we did with Easton). In the back of my mind, I kept thinking that maybe they missed something. After all when I asked the lady how sure she was that it was a girl she answered, "I've never been wrong." GREAT...my luck this will be the first time you will be! Not that I would be disappointed if it was a boy but we are having a hard enough time as it is deciding on a name, that the idea of starting from square one was horrifying!
Thankfully, it was confirmed that she is a she!
She looks perfect! She weighed in at whopping 1lb 1oz....teeny tiny!!
It's funny because I know that there is a baby growing inside my belly, I've seen her in four different ultrasounds and yet I'm still in awe every time I feel her movin' and a groovin'. I both equally want to keep her inside of me so that I don't have to share her and want her to be here so I can kiss her sweet face.

A New Love...
