Biggest Smile!

I took this picture of Easton on Valentine's Day. Actually I took about 25 pictures of him that day and THIS was the best one! Toddlers are not always the easiest subjects to photograph but they sure are the cutest! xoxo

Girls night in!

On Saturday we had a slumber party at April's house...(pictured from left: Me, Donna, Jen, April, Missy, Michelle T. & Maria) We had a blasty blast! They could quite possibly be the funniest women I know! (Who knew Maria & Missy could break dance?!) In these crazy times I'm so fortunate to have their friendship & laughter. I could, however, do without the snoring & sleep talking...although, even that was pretty hilarious!

Is that a compliment?

So, Easton was twirling my hair the other day...like he's done literally from birth (one of the only things he inherited from me!) And he said, "Mama, look at your hair!" I asked, "What does it look like?" He said, "Ummmm....it looks like a snake!"

Valentine's Day....

I've been trying to think of something creative (& inexpensive) to do for Matt for Valentine's day. Today at momspace we had a speaker that spoke about marriage and how we should choose to love & uplift our significant others (without expecting anything in return) instead of picking apart all the things that drive us nuts or constantly needing to prove that we're right (not that I'm guilty of ANY of those things...wink-wink) , which in the grand scheme of things don't even matter. She said it far more eloquently than I did...I totally butchered what she said...but then again that's why she was the speaker & not me! Anyhow, I was inspired by that & decided to write him an open love letter on this blog to shout from the rooftops how much I do love & appreciate him even though I probably show it poorly more often than not! And to those of you giggling at my cheese-balliness, I know, I know...this is a totally corny thing to do, which makes it all the better!! Let's just hope he actually reads my blog like he tells me him does!
The reasons I love Matt
by: his loving wife
1. He will eat anything I make...even when I ruin perfectly good steaks by topping them with bleu cheese. (which looked really good on the food network.)
2. He is the one person I could send the following text message & he'd actually be happy to get it; "Easton pooped in the toilet all by himself!!"
3. He didn't get upset when I let Easton fall asleep in our bed & he then peed on his side of the bed cuz I forgot to put a diaper on him. (oops!!)
4. We can laugh (usually) about our financial woes...after all we did get to meet "The Woz".
5. He makes yummy turkey burgers, from stratch.
6. He knows (almost) all the words to the Yo Gabba Gabba songs, which makes Easton VERY happy. Go Go Go Go Daddy!
7. He watches the Real Housewives of Orange County with me. As Vicki would say, "WOOOO-HOOOOO!" Although, I think Tamra is our favorite.
8. He sets aside time to spend with Easton, just the two of them, to do boy stuff. How cute is it that when we drive past any Home Depot Easton says, "There's Home Depot...that's where I go talk to Daddy!"
9. He laughs at all my knee-slapping jokes...even though sometimes he tries to act like it's not all that funny, he's bad liar & it shows!! I'm funny...you know it!
10. There's a million and one more reasons why I love you (some of which I rather not share with the world, ya know, just in case our moms are reading this!! haha! There I go being funny again!) But seriously I do love & appreciate you in an immeasurable amount. I admire you & all your hardwork & sacrifice it's taking to finish school. And even when I don't say it, remember, I'm always your biggest fan. xoxo..Lw

The Lips...

One night Easton made this face...Matt & I naturally started cracking up. So, naturally Easton kept doing it (kids are observant that way). It's quickly becoming his signature look (Ya, know kinda like "Blue Steel" from Zoolander!). When we wish to see this hysterical pucker we ask him to, "Do the lips!" Angelina Jolie...Eat your heart out!!!
