Po-tato-Pah-tato....Gorilla-Ga-will-wah

This blog is for no other reason than I don't want to forget Easton's dialect at this very moment. He's speaking less and less like a baby learning new words and more like the big kid he keeps reminding us that he is becoming.
This was all prompted by bedtime a few nights ago.
We were reading his favorite book, "Goodnight Gorilla" (which I will be buying for my niece Sawyer when she arrives in February!!). We have this running joke every night in which I ask him what story he wants to read, knowing full well the one he will choose. He then giggles over to the basket of books and grabs the Gorilla story and waits for me to feign distress...this is hilarious to a 3 year old. On this particular night he hands me the story and says, "Read Goodnight Gorilla." I almost fall off his bed! He said gorilla perfectly! This is a first! I loved the way he used to say it, "Ga-will-wah." I plead with him to keep saying, "Ga-will-wah." He of course refuses which leads me to saying it about 50 times. Easton is in stitches at this point, laughing so hard and loudly that Matt peeks in to see what could possibly be so exciting at bedtime.
It is so very hard to watch the baby side fade away and the big boy side emerge but we can't stop it or even in slow it down so we just have to soak up every minute we possibly can!
Some of my other faves (I'm sure I'm forgetting some...)....
"So-peen" ....Lotion
"To infin-da-bee and bee-yawn!"...To infinity and beyond
"Pulley"...Pillow
"Unna-wears"...Underwear
"Foc-corn"...Popcorn
"Chalky Milk"...Chocolate Milk
"Mess-a-cee-ceet"...Sesame Street

So sad....

Yesterday morning Easton announces to me, "When I'm done being little, I'm going be berry tall!"
Wait, What?!!?
"Done being little." ????
I'm soooooo not ready for that.
Stay little awhile longer...please.

Is that so?!

While strolling the aisles of the new SUPER Target (seriously, it was SUPER! I LOVED it!) Easton apparently had a revelation....
As I was trying to decide if I wanted to buy the cheaper, flimsy, economy pack napkins or the slightly more expensive "fancy" napkins (for those of you who price compare: it was only about a $0.40 difference by the way but you get 300 less napkins. I opted for the "fancy" ones, we were having company & by golly they only get the best from the Wagoners!!) Wait, where was I???....
Oh yes, well, completely out of the blue clear sky (that's a George Strait reference for those of you paying attention!) Easton declares, "I want a brother." It tugs on my heart strings a bit and I say, "Oh, you do buddy! That would be fun!" I guess he was still contemplating this whole sibling thing because he then announces, "Maybe we could have a boy AND a girl!!" Laughing, I say, "I think that would be too many babies." My ever optimistic child (smiling wider than I at this point) assures me, "No, it would be perfect!!" Insert my panic attack -----> here!!

Little Photog...

On the way home from the beach Easton wanted to take pictures.
Being the super cool mom that I am, I let him.
Self-Portrait.
Me & Aunt Lacy.
The beautiful scenery of the 15 freeway.
Gotta love those blue eyes!
My seriously cute child...also seriously tired!

Photo-Op...

Easton is in love and awe of his new cousin Logan....as is seen on his ear to ear grin!
And, don't even say it!!...We know he needs a sibling!!
This was our first attempt to get a picture of the three grandkids...
Not a huge success but then again not bad for kids 3, 2 & 6 weeks old.
