Man! I love this boy...

I had a doctor's appointment today (30 weeks baby!!). Easton didn't come with us because it was during his naptime and that wouldn't have been fun for ANYONE! So at dinner tonight he asked me,
"What did the dotor (he leaves the "c" out) do to you today?"
I told him, "She measured my belly. She listened to the baby's heartbeat and said everything looks great!"
He then hugs me and replies, "Good job Mom!"
He unexpectedly bends down, whispers ever so softly to my abundant belly "I love you" and kisses it.
Couldn't make me any happier to see his love for his sister...almost brought me to tears.

Oh really...

So it's 5:35 pm and Easton is STILL napping! I suppose that's what happens when he wriggles his way out of bed until 10:30 last night...I guess he thinks I'm kidding when I say, "Sleep good buddy. I love you...now DON'T get out of bed!"
This happens from time to time and the excuses are the usual things you'd expect...
"I have to go potty"
"I need a drink"
"I heard a noise"
BUT last night his excuses (on top of the ones mentioned above) were:
"It's too dark in here. I can't find my flashlight"
and my new favorite...
"The picture hanging on my wall is wiggly and crooked. It's not perfect. Can you fix it so I can sleep?"
Your kids are worried about monsters in the closet, mine is worried that his art work isn't level...

7 months...

Yesterday we went and got our little peas in the pods registered!
Our lil' miss is due June 8th and
Jamie & Chris' lil' man is due June 9th!!
Can't wait until they join our other little munchkins! xoxo

Sweeter than a basket full of treats...

Easton and Sawyer...
I'm so proud of Easton for sitting with the Easter Bunny. This was a big deal cuz he's pretty nervous about being with in arms reach of gigantic, fluffy, fantastiful (is that a word?) characters. However, he bravely announced, "If I don't sit with him then Sawyer is going to be really scared with out me." Soooooo sweet that he set aside his fear to protect his cousin. Oh, and the photographer promised him TWO lollipops but I'm hoping it was more about his cousin not the candy...

Our serious boy..

FINALLY...

It might be hard to believe but this is the first time Matt got a chance to hold Sawyer!! He got to see her in the hospital when she was just a few minutes old but the nurse insisted she get a bath before anyone else could hold her...
we were not a fan of this nurse.
Unfortunately with his crazy schedule these two crazy
kids had not been formally introduced.
Clearly they seem quite fond of each other.

Looks like she's giving him the business...
"Whhhhyyy, did it take so long for you to see me?!"

Practice makes perfect...

Easton is crazy about his cousin Logan. They both light up when they see each other. He's becoming such a good little helper with his lil' buddy. By the time his sister arrives in less than 79 days (OMG! It's coming so fast!) he'll be a pro at this baby stuff. While we didn't intend on our children being 4 years apart (sometimes these things don't happen as quickly as one would like!) it's going to be an enormous help. Easton is a worry wart like me, so I know I will be able to count on him to be a protective and attentive BIG BROTHER!

Seriously, does it get any sweeter than this?

LegoLand...

Today we had a fun trip to LegoLand (courtesy of free tickets Grandpa Wags nabbed the last time they took Easton!!) Easton and Matt went on tons of rides. Even the roller coasters! They tend to discourage pregnant gals from these sort of things so I ate ice cream and took lots of pictures...

Checking the map to decide where to begin..

One of Easton's favorite things of the day...Lego Elephant.

Apparently my baby bump is a great place to strike a pose!

Easton & all 7 months prego of me!

Easton and a cute passerby :)

Posing by Thomas. Forgive the shine, we'd just re-applied the sunscreen.

Yum Yum Eat 'em up!

Leaving on a jet plane.

Yee-Haw!

Does this rope ladder make my butt look big?

Cute and happy! Just the way I like him!

Waiting for the Bob the Builder 4-D show to begin, not so patiently...
"This is taking waaaaaaaaaaay too long!!"

Matt and his little clone...

Can we fix it? Yes, we can!!
So thankful for a awesome day with my two favorite boys! Crazy to think it's also our last trip to an amusement park as a family of three!!

From the mouths of babes...

Easton & I were watching tv in my bed the other night. He was snuggling with his head resting on my (ever expanding) belly and gently patting it. Couldn't have been any sweeter than if I would of dipped him in chocolate...

I ask him, "Do you like mama's big belly?"
Dripping with cuteness, in the most complimentary tone you could imagine...He answers,
"No, I like your big butt."

Thanks buddy! :)
