My funny boy....

Easton is always saying something off the wall to make us laugh. These are my two favorites of the week so far:

Easton: "Mom, where are we going?"

Me: "We're going to Goodwill to drop some stuff off."

Easton: "Who is Old Will?"

Easton: "Dad quacks me up."

Me: "How does he do that?"

Easton: "When he makes me laugh. That's how he quacks me."

Daddy's girl. Sort of...

I assumed when I had Finley she would be a Daddy's girl. I mean, Easton is clearly a Mama's boy (not that he's not best buds with his Daddy) so I figured Finley would be Matt's lil' lady.....

Enter Miss Finley Claire....

For the first 2 months of her life she wanted ONLY me. I'm not exaggerating in the slightest. Matt got to hold her maybe a total of an hour over the first couple months. Actually, she didn't let anyone hold her for long. We started lovingly calling her my stalker. That's why this picture (taken when she was 6 weeks) is so special and rare. She is finally starting to warm up to the idea that maybe, just maybe her Daddy can soothe her too. She lights up when she sees him and giggles when she thinks he's being silly.

More Swimming...

Okay, Okay, Okay...I realize these blog entries are not given with as much commentary as I would normally prefer but geez, oh pete! I still have 3 months of pics to post!!!

Anyhoo...Here's some more swimming pics...These are a few to sum up our time spent at the Goebel's community pool this summer. We spent ALOT of time there...Especially while we were both prego, "Rockin' it Big Belly Style!!" in our bikinis :) This is the pool where some kids slapped Jamie's belly and asked if there was a baby in there...they were nicknamed "the belly slappers." This is the pool where we saw just how lazy some parents can be...We bring snacks for OUR kids, we play with OUR kids, we don't read books while our kids are swimming while other peoples husbands are giving YOUR kid a ride on their back in the pool....poor Matt....what's he supposed to say to the little girl who wants a ride on his back after all the kids in our group got one?? Jamie & I wanted to grab her Mom's book from her hands and smack her upside the head with it!! I guess thats just what one should expect at a community pool. I'll now get off my soapbox... Easton

1st Angels game...

A Great Love...

Finley with her Great-Grandma or Baumie as she's lovingly known to everyone. You will never meet a more loving, sweet person than Baumie.

And Miss Gracie Mae...She is such a little mommy. She was so excited to hold Finnie. It seems like not that long ago she was anxiously awaiting the arrival of Easton. She adores both of the kids and they equally can't get enough of her.

This lil' beauty turned 3! She is seriously a one-girl show....so hilarious!!

4th of July

Ok, So clearly I'm behind....It's 2 weeks from Thanksgiving and I'm posting July's pictures....Whatever, I've been busy, we moved, my camera broke, my dog ate my homework, etc....I figured the best way to get back on track was to pick up where I left off. The pictures may come slighty outta sequence but I promise to be a much more faithful blogger in the future. And because there will be soooooo many new posts coming up it won't entirely hurt my feelings if you only look at the pictures...Enjoy!

Today...Ugh...

So I know I'm like waaaaay behind on updating this here bliggity blog but I'm sorta tied up with these two babes and I'm just pooped out by the time I actually CAN blog. However I wanted to get this quick blog squeezed in....

Today was one of those days. You new mamas probably haven't experienced one of "those" days yet and all you experienced mamas know EXACTLY what kind of day I'm talking about. It was the kind of day that was rough from 5:00 am on...The kind of day where everything goes wrong (i.e. Baby won't let you put her down, East operating on his own set of rules, Spilling your DESPERATELY needed Diet Dr. Pepper, Husband gone at an Angels game) , the kind of day where your patience is tested BEYOND the max, the kind of day where you don't know if you should laugh or cry at the madness that is your day, the kind of day where you feel like the worst mom in the world. But then you get home and let your kids get in bed with you and your son whispers, "I like snuggling with you." And you're reminded just how sweet your life really is...imperfections and all.

Random thoughts at bedtime...

"Mom. #1 is pee. #2 is poop. #3 is flush."
